OmugwoCare is a mother-first, culturally responsive, non-medical postpartum support and care navigation platform operated by Omugwo LLC d/b/a OmugwoCare.

Inspired by the Igbo tradition of Ọmụgwọ, OmugwoCare helps mothers and families plan, coordinate, and receive practical support after birth. We help families create a 40-Day Mother Care Plan, organize a Family Care Circle, request caregiver matching, plan rest and meal support, coordinate light household help, and navigate referrals when needs exceed our scope.

Why the first 40 days matter

After birth, mothers need more than a checkup. They need rest, nourishment, practical help, emotional reassurance, family support, and a caring village around them.

The first 40 days after childbirth are a powerful window for mother care. OmugwoCare helps families build that support system by connecting mothers with trusted, trained non-medical support and helping coordinate the practical care they need during this important stage.

The Omugwo Village

The 40-Day Mother Care Journey

The Omugwo Village 40 Days of Care is OmugwoCare’s signature support program. Every stage of the first 40 days brings different needs for a mother and her family. OmugwoCare helps families understand and coordinate support throughout this journey.

Days 1-7: The Arrival of the Village
The first days after birth are a time for rest, recovery, bonding, and adjustment. Practical support can help mothers focus on themselves and their newborn while their support system helps with everyday needs.
Theres movement in there.
Days 8-14: The Village Finds Its Rhythm
As the family settles into life with a newborn, mothers continue to need rest, nourishment, practical assistance, and emotional support. OmugwoCare helps families maintain the support they need as new routines develop.

Days 15-28: The Mother Is Strengthened
As the weeks progress, mothers and families begin finding their rhythm. Continued postpartum support can make everyday responsibilities easier while mothers gradually regain confidence and energy.

Days 29-40: The Village Continues
The end of the first 40 days is not the end of the journey. It is a transition into the next stage of motherhood. OmugwoCare helps families make that transition with a stronger support system and a clearer path forward.
